Using the Transfer Optimizer

The Transfer Optimizer helps you find the best way to move points into a destination program. It shows which points to transfer, and how many, along with the costs and value changes, so you can compare transfer options side by side.

Getting Started

Navigate to Transfer Optimizer from the sidebar. You’ll see a search form where you can select your destination program and the number of points you need.

Choosing a Destination Program

Click the Destination Program field to see a list of programs. You can also type to search by name — results appear as you type.

Select your destination program — in this example, Flying Blue — and enter how many points you need.

Reading the Results

Once you select a program, Flyga automatically calculates all available transfer options. Each one shows:

Source program — Where points come from (e.g., Chase Ultimate Rewards)
Transfer ratio — How many source points convert to one destination point
Value per point (CPP) — Cents-per-point valuation for source and destination
USD value — Estimated dollar value of points at each stage
Value change — Whether you gain or lose value through this transfer option

Using Filters

Two filter switches help narrow your results:

Single Hop — Only show direct transfers (no intermediate programs)
Near instant — Only show transfer options that settle almost immediately

Redemption Calculator

For even deeper analysis, expand the Redemption calculator to enter your specific flight (or hotel) costs. This calculates your true cents-per-point based on what you’d actually pay in cash.

Enter the cash ticket price and award taxes/fees to see a personalized redemption value that appears alongside each transfer option.
